 Have you ever felt controlled or judged?  I think everyone has at some point in their life.  It's an awful feeling.  Most people feel controlled by their parents when they're young.  Some feel controlled by a significant other, and some just feel controlled by society.  This song is about Paramore feeling fed up with being controlled and judged.

The Last Second Chance

I personally haven't felt very controlled by anyone.  I think  it's because I'm such an independent person.  But I've defiantly felt judged many times in my life.  Talking about being judged or judging people can get a little fuzzy.  Even the people who don't want to judge others still do.  It's second nature, we've been taught to judge others most of our lives.  It sounds awful but it's the truth.  We live in a society where all we do is judge each other.  

I'll Point you to the Mirror

My favorite line in this song is, "Next time you point a finger, I'll point you to the mirror."  
I think it's so on point for how our society is.  It's impossible not to judge people, but what you say and how you judge them is all you.  It says way more about you than it does about the actual person.  Think about that, when was last time you said something bad about someone?  Did it say more about them or you?  Chances are your answer was you.  I don't think we will ever stop the judging in this world, but maybe we could slow it down, and have people think about what they are saying before they say it.
